NASA is sending humans back to the moon, this month. They’re going farther from Earth than ever before. This is the second of three planned NASA missions to go back to the moon, in hopes of eventually establishing a moon colony. This mission, Artemis II, is about testing the spacecraft, Orion, during a 10 day trip around earth and the moon while checking the ship’s life support, navigation, communication, and radiation shelter. At the heart of this historic mission is our European Service Module, which provides the Orion spacecraft and its crew with life support, power and propulsion, enabling safe human travel beyond Earth orbit. The reason we never went back to the moon isn't funding or danger. It's because we never went there before. We can't leave. And why? There's a barrier, a ceiling, a dome. And you're telling me we can read a license plate from orbit, but not see a flag left on the moon? Since then, tech has exploded. 4K cameras in our pockets. Artificial intelligence that writes novels. Billionaires launching rockets for fun. But not one permanent station on the moon. Not one astronaut living beyond low Earth orbit. They say we're going back. Then suddenly, it's Mars. Then space hotels. Always out of reach. Always just out of sight. And the rockets? They arc, vanish, and land somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. How convenient. Ancient texts from Sumeria to Genesis all mention the firmament. A dome, not metaphorical, literal. A solid barrier separating us from the heavens. If the firmament is real, we're trapped. A prison planet, if it's not, then they've been lying since day one. Either way, we're not leaving Earth. Not now. Not ever.
