Muscle up trick. Many of you have trouble to keep your legs straight and closed together. This issue’s mainly because of lack of body awareness and bad habits. This is one of the best trick you can try. Put your phone on the top of your feet and don’t let it fall (obviously) during Muscle Up. Your form will improve instantly. At least you can focus on your legs better than ever. Save it for later and share it with your friends. HAPPY TRAINING! The exercises that helped me unlock my 🌟muscle up🌟 1. Muscle up negative + isometric hold 2. Weighted explosive / high pulls 3. Banded deadweight muscle ups 4. LOTS of false grip conditioning 5. Transition drills (I think this exercise is called a Russian dip) 6. Having to be a tough cookie despite the constant bruises and calluses😭 Here’s the blueprint so that you don’t have to go looking for one and save yourself the confusion and uncertainty of what to practice if you are someone who is working towards the muscle up. Save this for your own training🫡 These were the exercises I was doing in order to achieve my muscle up. Training this consistently 2-3 times a week and got it within 3 months. I was also having adequate rest (around 2 mins) in between each set. There are 1 million ways to drill skills depending on where you’re at in your strength, how you’re understanding the movement, and your underlying limiters ! Not every drill you see online will be the best for you! That’s why it’s so important to keep exploring, get creative with the learning process and find what does work for you 🙏🏽 This hips to bar drill is a great drill for someone who has already developed the appropriate upper body strength and awareness BUT is struggling to lock in all the correct positions and timing underneath the bar to make the turnover fluid and smooth ! Keep in mind, every drill you see can be scaled and modified to meet you where YOU’RE at and then build up from there ! 👉🏽You can scale this by incorporating bands or using a box for some single leg assistance! 💡Remember: practice is about intentionality NOT intensity. This usually comes from not spending enough time building the basics. ✅Here’s the ideal basic progression to follow: 1. Arch to Hollow (SUPER IMPORTANT) 2. Kipping Pull-ups 3. Kipping Chest-to-Bar 4. Bar Muscle Up 5. Ring Muscle Up ✅ Note: Other types of drills and technique-focused work are also essential, but this progression covers the key foundational steps. Keep working on the basics, they matter more than you think 💪🏻 Muscle Ups are tough to master, but also super fun! And once you have them, it’s so satisfying to throw them into a CrossFit workout 💥 So keep pushing and stay consistent.
