ROMy neighbor had gone into his crawlspace to do some plumbing work. And as he was under there he saw that one of his branch lines (duct) was just lying on the floor detached.
He then told me that the company who had installed his unit a few years back had lied and said they and capped it off. Which wasn’t true. Unless putting it against a brick wall is considered capping 😂.
If you suspect anything wrong with your duct send a DM!
PS. It’s not always malpractice that results in duct problems, animals will sometimes also go in there and mess things up.
