GLRating exfoliating products : for all skin types
Should I classify them per skin type / skin concern ?
But let me summarise a bit :
@garnier : why would you have a micellar water with chemicals exfoliates ? Best way to wreck your skin barrier.
@cosrx nice combo of both AHA & BHA, bit harsh for sensitive skin but otherwise a good chemical exfoliant for all skin types & concerns
@nichebeautylab a very good chemical exfoliant which works for most skin types and extremely gentle with a blend of gentle AHAs, enzymes & PHA.
@haruharuwonder_official PHA-based toner is great for more sensitive and dry skins. The best choice if you want a mild exfoliation
@anua_global BHA based toner great for acne, oily skin & pores. Because salicylic acid (BHA) is an oil soluble it will help deeply clear your pores.
@caudalie is a glycolic acid (aha) based cleanser which is specific targeted towards dry to combination skin, specifically for hyperpigmentation & ageing skin concerns. This specific one is pretty mild and doesn’t risk damaging your skin barrier too badly as long as used correctly (3x per week)
@timeline_skin the best blend of AHAs (Mandelic & lactic acids) and BHA (salicylic acid) without stripping the skin. The price is a bit steep but by far the best liquid chemical exfoliant for dry & ageing skin.
@garnier nice and affordable BHA based toner which is a good option for acne & oily skin
Ren (discontinued) unfortunately this lactic acid (AHA) toner can’t be bought anymore but was a great one for dry & dark spot skin
@paulaschoiceuk Salicylic acid (BHA) toner that is highly effective. One of the best on the market for oily skin & acne prone skin. But don’t use daily
@theordinary absolutely gem of a product for body, hair and face. Bit strong so be careful when using it but will clear up your acne, brighten your skin & keep your scalp completely clean. And the price is great
@paulaschoicefr also a BHA based toner which helps with oily skin. Weirdly PC changed the name recently. The formulation isn’t great and it’s a strange concept to target anti-aging with BHA.
