I was shocked when I got my labs back a few years ago and my cholesterol was elevated. And not only that my advanced markers showed that I was at higher risk for heart disease. I’ll blame my Indian ancestry for some of this, but it really signal to me that I was in perimenopause and that I needed to take control of my nutrition. That’s actually when I started to write my book hormone havoc. food is medicine.
