GEAI is an important tool in geoscience, used in areas like remote sensing, geological modelling, and climate modelling and prediction. But where is the data coming from? Whose voices are included... and excluded?
AI is only as good, equitable, informed and reliable as the data available to it. Scientists, developers and users must make sure AI in geoscience –and across all disciplines- is ethical and inclusive, accounting for underrepresented individuals across the world.
