UMPuits VS Forage 😱💧
Suite à une mission humanitaire avec l’ONG Ummah Charity, Jamal a découvert ce qu’était réellement un forage… et la différence avec un simple puits 🥲
👉 Un puits, c’est souvent creusé à la main et l’eau provient des nappes superficielles. Mais en période de sécheresse, il peut facilement s’assécher ❌
👉 Un forage, lui, va beaucoup plus loin dans le sol grâce à des machines spécialisées. On atteint des nappes d’eau profondes, plus propres et surtout beaucoup plus durables pour les villages 💧✅
Résultat :
✅ De l’eau potable toute l’année
✅ Moins de maladies
✅ Des enfants qui passent moins de temps à chercher de l’eau et plus de temps à l’école
Voir l’eau jaillir après le forage… c’est un moment incroyable. Les sourires des habitants, les cris de joie des enfants… ça rappelle à quel point l’eau est une richesse immense 😍
Un simple forage peut changer la vie de tout un village pendant des années, c’est pour ça qu’on peut la catégoriser comme un don : Sadaqa Jariya 💜🤲🏻

THLipstick, body paint, insect repellent, food colouring… Annatto is INCREDIBLY useful. Inside the achiote tree’s bright pink hairy fruits are seeds covered in an orangey-reddish waxy coating. This has been used by indigenous tribes in the plant’s native region of Mexico to Brazil. Annatto is now used around the world in various products, primarily as a food colouring agent!
I had the incredible opportunity to learn about this plant while adventuring with @xanadu_villas to the Jambo Spice Farm in Zanzibar, Tanzania!

The spiny squat lobster 🦞
They will grow to about 10cm long and they look a little bit like a cross of a crab and a lobster! The colour on them are amazing with the bright blue random lines on their carapace and around their eyes 💙
They escape similar to lobsters with their paddle tail which shoots them backwards away from danger! 🏊🏽

SOThis is the sea creature 👇🏼…
This is a Brittle Star and they are related to the starfish, but will also be eaten by them! ⭐️
They will hide in cracks and under rocks to avoid being eaten and they can detect a certain type of chemical that the starfish predators release and then will move away! 💨
They are commonly seen in rock pools but can also live in deep water up to 85m 🤯
They are very delicate and when feeling threatened they may release one of their 5 legs 😨
