MODuring the filming of Good Time (2017), the team wanted everything to feel very real. So they did not close the streets while shooting. Regular people were walking around like normal.
Surprisingly, no one recognized Robert Pattinson, and nobody even took a single phone picture of him during the whole shoot.
If people asked what they were filming, the crew said it was just an untitled social project, not a movie. They even delayed the production on purpose so it wouldn’t get too much attention.
Robert Pattinson also stayed in character even when the camera wasn’t rolling. He acted like his character all the time so people wouldn’t recognize him.
In one scene filmed in an apartment building, local residents actually asked him in the elevator if he was Bradley Cooper’s security guard, because they heard Bradley Cooper was shooting a movie there!

Connie manipulates strangers with charm, desperation, and half-truths, revealing how quickly empathy can be weaponized. His devotion to his brother is real, but so is the selfishness underneath it. He doesn’t know how to help without control, and control is exactly what keeps spiraling out of reach.
What makes Good Time unsettling is how it refuses to romanticize its antihero. Connie isn’t a mastermind — he’s reactive, impulsive, convinced that intention outweighs impact. The film forces viewers to sit inside that delusion, watching how one bad decision multiplies into many. By the end, the question isn’t whether he loves his brother.
