We found JB’s 46 years old kueh shop 🥮🍜 📍Restoran Min Corner (民糕点) 🇲🇾 They sell insane variety of traditional kuehs (some I never even tried before) for 1.30RM/pc with super chewy skin & local delights mains like char kuay teow, gula Melaka beancurd, mee Siam 😭✨ You know it’s legit when there were mostly locals there when we went at 12pm and there were still many kuehs left, it will usually be sold out at 2-3pm!! Opening hours: 6.30am-5pm ⏰ I preferred their local delights more although their kueh skin was rly chewy, their fillings tasted like the usual. but their peanut mochi ball was 🤤🤤 HAVE TO GET!!! And their soybean curd was damnnn smoooth If you’re in JB with ur fam, u need to bring them here :) ur parents will love it #jb #jbfood #malaysia

This was my second time ordering from the stall, and although it was still good in terms of flavour, I found the texture of the beehoon to be lacking compared to my first visit when @madam_key brought us. So, please learn from my experience – it is important to inform the hawker that you want your rice #noodles to be fried longer, so more moisture can evaporate and the beehoon will become fluffier. Also, the default egg is a chicken’s. Do ask for duck if you prefer a richer taste. And extra sambal if you like it punchier. On a separate note, when I peeked into the back alley, I caught sight of a scene not typically seen in Singapore. If you’ve been to JB often, you’ve probably heard of Beijing Lou — one of those classic old-school restaurants where most of the diners are elderly regulars… the kind of place families have been coming back to for years 👵👴❤️ We came here mainly for the suckling pig, and honestly the value is crazy: ✔️ Half suckling pig — RM180 (~SGD60) ✔️ Shark’s fin soup — RM120 (~SGD40) ✔️ Cod fish — a must-order dish The whole table looks like a reunion dinner feast… very “大鱼大肉” vibes, but the pricing is surprisingly reasonable.
