Does Apache Junction actually need this? A 65,000 sq ft manufacturing facility just broke ground near Tomahawk Rd and US 60 and it’s the largest industrial project Apache Junction has ever had. Sundt Construction isn’t some random name either. They’ve been in Arizona since 1929 and have built major Valley infrastructure like the Loop 202. Now they’re betting on Apache Junction. Why here? Simple. Land + location. Most of the East Valley is tapped out. Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler are basically full. AJ still has room to grow and sits right on US 60 with direct access across the metro. This project brings roughly 100 jobs across manufacturing, engineering, and office roles, with space left over to expand later. City leaders are openly saying they want more advanced manufacturing out here. Semiconductors. Aerospace. Industrial suppliers. So what do you think… Is Apache Junction turning into the next East Valley growth corridor, or is this the wrong move for the city long term? What Id tell my best friend if they were moving to the Grand Junction area… You’re going to trade traffic for trails. Grand Juncton is an outdoor lovers paradise. Drive one direction for 20 minutes and you’ve got stunning red rock, drive the other and you’re surrounded by aspens. You’re going to learn real quick there is so much more to Grand Junction than what you see from I-70. It’s Colorados best kept secret. You might be overwhelmed at first when asking people where you should live. There’s strong opinions about it, but there’s great things about each area of town. The weather here is glorious—mild winters and over 300 days of sunshine. And also it’s dry—you’ll be using lotion like crazy. You’re going to fall in love with the downtown, area and will probably get super into mountain biking or hiking. Oh and in the summer, going to the river or the Grand Mesa will become your entire personality. It may take some time but you’ll find your people. People are super friendly and welcoming—(ignore the online haters). If you come with a sense of adventure and are excited to try new things, you’re going to do just fine.
