THKOG is GREENLIT!!
@wellamade and I are die hard fans of indie animation and we’ve been paying close attention to what’s going on over at Glitch Productions. If you haven’t heard of @glitch_prod , they’re an independent animation house responsible for smash hits like The Amazing Digital Circus, and their shows are always published totally free over on YouTube. They’re building a business around a radical new model where they share their work free to the public and monetize the shows based on advertising revenue and the sale of high quality merch.
A few months ago we discovered the pilot episode of their very first fully 2D animated show, Knights of Guinevere, created by @danaterrace (who also created The Owl House), and…lemme tell ya, this show SLAPS. It’s one of the most beautiful and well-constructed pilots I’ve ever seen for any show, period. It’s so bizarre to see a pilot that’s this high quality, I can only imagine what a full budget and runway would do for it.
Well, today our dear @ultravioletjester texted us that it’s officially greenlit, and that means we can look forward to a full season of this incredible storytelling, animation and world building, and we’re so excited. It’s huge to see what artists are capable of when they have access to the resources and the freedom they need to do their best work. I can already tell that this show is going to be a masterpiece.
