Alright fam, here we go again stay ready, we’ve handled this before and we’ll handle this one too. So we’ve spoke to just about every person we know. This Kona Low type system isn’t about one big hit, it’s a slow buildup.
Days of rain (Tues–Fri+) mean impacts can stack over time increasing flood risk statewide.
⚠️ Not just heavy… it is persistent
⚠️ The Higher risk comes from duration, not intensity
Because it lingers, the ground gets saturated, runoff increases, and flooding risk builds over time.
What to watch for:

36Many people have asked us what happened with the roof collapse of Happiness restaurant - and is the Scandinavian Shave Ice shop also affected.
We saw a work crew on the roof this morning. (And if you’re local, you’ll know this is good news for hoping the damaged building doesn’t sit there for months looking like this). “Scandy’s” roof looks good, so we are happy for those biz owners.
