ATA police chase ended in a fatal wreck in Little Five Points tonight.
GSP said a trooper saw a vehicle “traveling at a high rate of speed while making erratic lane changes” on I-20 east near Boulevard SE just before 8 PM. The trooper tried to pull the vehicle over, but it kept going, prompting a chase. The suspect’s vehicle eventually made it to Moreland/Euclid, where it crashed, striking a passenger vehicle in the process. The innocent driver of that passenger vehicle tragically passed away at the scene.

Update: GSP has identified both the driver who caused the crash and the innocent driver killed on Monday night.
GSP says Cooper Schoenke, 19, of DeKalb County was killed when Fadume Mohamed, 23, of Stone Mountain led troopers on a chase.
