I really didn’t want another animal last year, we just moved, it was our first year with any farm animals and then baby ducks came home… They were so cute and once they started showing their personalities 🥹 … we all loved watching h them, feeding them, playing with them. We have Pekin ducks, which have been great for eggs (almost always one a day, even in winter) but are generally bred for meat. Always busy roaming and foraging and endlessly entertaining to watch. They are flightless, easy to contain with fencing, and don’t require a pond, just a little bit of water to clean out their beaks and prune their feathers.
