TMA police shooting has left one person dead in Milwaukee.
Video obtained by TMJ4 showed the high-speed pursuit and foot chase that ensued leading up to the shooting.
Police tell us the situation began with Slinger police looking for a 47-year-old man wanted for child abuse, disorderly conduct, domestic violence and exposing himself to a minor. officers in Slinger say he had threatened "suicide by cop," according to a press release.
Just before 9:00 Sunday night, Germantown officers spotted the suspect and began to chase him in their squad car — that chase got up to speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
That chase ended near I-41, around Highway 145, according to officers. They say the suspect got out of the car and started running. Witnesses called police to report seeing the suspect near 107th and Good Hope.
Investigators say that's where the suspect engaged with a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy and other officers, before the deputy shot the suspect multiple times. The suspect died on the scene, despite life-saving measures.
