MUThis is nerve wracking to post, I am sweating...but here.... These last few months have been particularly confusing and stressful. In December I was convinced I was pregnant because I was 8 days late. I wasn’t. This month I am 6 days late, still waiting to start my period.
This has been sat in my ‘drafts’ section on my reels for a week or so. I’ve been trying to get the courage to post it. Even Kyle hasn’t seen these.
You’ll notice I am always alone. This is by choice yes, but, it is also a way of protecting myself. Not too sure who from you be honest, but yeah. Maybe from myself?
I have made some amazing connections on here with girls opening up to me about their journey. Some with loss that I could never be able to understand. There are some who find it...hard...to give advise. They think they are helping. But you’re not. So there are a few things in this video for you to remember to not say to someone trying to conceive.
I always try and video myself taking the test because I one day I hope it positive and I always want to remember the feeling. I hope to one day update this video with a smile at the end.

This month I’ve just not been thinking about it too much as we have some exciting plans coming up!! Also planned a trip for 2027 if we don’t get pregnant - I call this a coping mechanism 🫣 I’d much rather have a 2nd baby than a trip abroad BUT trying to tell myself it will happen and to make as many memories as we can as a 3. Just everywhere around me it feels like I’m reminded that I can’t give our daughter a sibling right now ❤️🩹

NImonth after month of disappointment, being patient is so hard. especially when you see so many other women announcing their pregnancies and snuggling their babies. you are overjoyed for them, while you heart is also breaking. it’s such a weird feeling. DR5th points is the one I consciously did, when I thought Of Pregnancy
1. Create a predictable routine
The first thing I’d work on is bringing rhythm into my day.
Less chaos = less stress hormones.
I’d consciously slow down, protect my energy, and step back from things that constantly drain me — emotionally or physically.
My simple morning reset would look like:
• Waking up at the same time every day
• A glass of water with soaked chia seeds (rich in omega-3s)
• 5–10 minutes of quiet time — meditation, journaling, or gratitude
Nothing fancy. Just consistency.
2. Move my body — gently but regularly
I’d include strength training a few days a week and make sure I walk daily.
This helps with weight balance, lowers insulin resistance, and supports regular ovulation and healthier cycles.
Movement is medicine when done right.
3. Clean up my diet
I’d stop packaged, junk, and frequent outside food.
Instead, I’d focus on:
• Fresh home-cooked meals
• More protein
• Plenty of vegetables and salads
Simple food. Real food.
4. Supplements — but only after testing
Before blindly taking supplements, I’d get baseline blood tests done and correct deficiencies properly.
I’d definitely start folic acid daily.
Vitamin D, B12, or others only if needed.

5. Simplify skincare
I’d shift to a basic, gentle skincare routine.
All vitamin A–based products like retinol or adapalene would be stopped completely while planning pregnancy.
6. Blood tests & health checks
If planning conception, I’d check:
• Complete Blood Count (CBC)
• Thyroid function tests
• Rubella IgG
• Vitamin D
• Vitamin B12
• Thalassemia carrier testing
• Prolactin
If over 35:
• AMH
• Baseline pelvic ultrasound on day 2 of the cycle

It’s about starting today, giving your body 6 months to reset, heal, and prepare.

ELYesterday, my estrogen started going up and then this morning, my LH surged and I got a positive ovulation test!!!
I can’t believe it 😭😭 I’ve been so nervous that my body wouldn’t know how to ovulate again after it did last month, but it’s working!
