Your body doesn’t know if you’re lifting a sandbag, a kettlebell, a dumbbell, or a grown man on your back. It doesn’t recognise tools. It recognises intensity. It recognises being pushed past comfort. I guarantee I got a better workout than 99% of people today and my chest was absolutely smoked. This is how you train when you stop relying on equipment and start relying on effort. EMOM 1 — Muscle-Ups 10 minutes • 3 strict reps every minute 2 minutes rest EMOM 2 — Pull-Ups 10 minutes • 7 reps every minute • Alternate grips: – Wide grip – Underhand (chin-up) 2 minutes rest EMOM 3 — Dips 10 minutes • 10–15 reps every minute 2 minutes rest EMOM 4 — Deficit Push-Ups (on bars) 10 minutes • 8–12 reps • Slow. Controlled. Squeeze everything.

When a muscle is underactive, unstable, or lacks load tolerance, the central nervous system perceives THREAT in that region (instability = potential for injury) In response, the muscle spindle fibers increase their firing rate to resist stretch… this is the stretch reflex AKA neuromuscular Inhibition. The brain essentially says, “We’re not strong enough here, let’s tighten up to protect the joint.” This creates increased resting tone, or that constant “tight” feeling, even though the tissue itself is not shortened or stiff… it’s simply being held under protective tension.
