Please spread the word about the risk of melanoma on the lower extremities of women! The calves, especially, are not an easy area to keep an eye on, but should be checked regularly.

THFinished the 5 days of the Klisyri Chemo Cream and it wasn’t as awful as so many people said it would be. I didn’t realize, but there is another chemo cream so many people shared they used and it caused so many more symptoms than what I experienced. I’m sharing as I didn’t know what to expect and a lot of the feedback I got from some of my followers was way worse than I experienced (again so many used a different chemo cream than the one that was prescribed to me by my doctor.) From what I read, a doctor in the woodlands said she started prescribing this over the other chemo cream since patients wouldn’t & couldn’t finish their chemo cream due to side effects and how painful the other chemo cream is. This is supposed to be less sensitive and as a person with sensitive skin, I would agree it wasn’t that bad.
An update from today: The nurse said by day 8 leisons might appear (I am only on Day 5), I potentially will peel for the next 2 weeks & I have 4 weeks from now to recover from this medicine. Hoping this ends this skin cancer journey. 🤞🏻
I hope no one has to deal with skin cancer of any form, but it hopfully this will help you know what to expect if you have to do this. I also saved more under my skin cancer journey (story highlights ‘GET CHECKED’)
And this is your reminder to get your skin checked. Only once a year can save your life. Early detection is key.

ELSKIN CANCER can present itself in multiple ways - here are examples of
1. Basal cell carcinoma: can present as a pimple like bump that is not healing - it can be pink or skin colored. Sometimes it can look like a small pink patch or even a scar like growth
2. Squamous cell carcinoma in situ: can present as a scaly pink or red patch that is not going away. SCC can also present as a warty growth or a tender pink bump.
3. Lentigo maligna: a type of melanoma, that can present as a brown discolored patch, usually irregular in color and shape and some reported change in a sun exposed area
If you have anything that resembles the above, GET IT CHECKED ✅ Skin cancer can be easily treated when caught early, so don’t wait if you have something you are concerned about.
