Last week’s opening meant more to me than I expected. So many people came, and I’m truly grateful for that. The conversations, the small words, the presence — they stayed with me. Balancing work at a restaurant and painting has often felt slow, sometimes uncertain. But in that moment, I felt that what I’ve been doing reached someone. It feels like a quiet turning point. I’m a little nervous about what comes next, but also strangely calm. For now, I’ll just keep going. Losing my instagram account was honestly a shock. For a moment, it made me realize how much importance we sometimes place on a number.... the number of followers, the reach, the visibility. But the truth is: those numbers don’t define who we are. Losing an account doesn’t make me any less of an artist. It doesn’t take away the years of creating, the passion behind the work, or the reason I started sharing art in the first place. If anything, this experience reminded me how important it is not to put all our eggs in one basket. I feel incredibly grateful for the galleries I work with, @galerieberthelet @galerieiris @milanart.gallery @artdevivregalerie , my friends and colleague at @milanartinstitute , the collectors who support my work, and the people around me who genuinely believe in what I create. That support means so much more than a number on a screen. So I’m choosing to see this as a new beginning. A chance to rebuild this beautiful community from the ground up, reconnect, and maybe even learn something new along the way. I’m going to take my time, be gentle with myself, and keep showing up authentically. It’s always bitter sweet when I have to say goodbye to an art piece. Knowing I’ll never see it again in the flesh makes me feel extremely happy that it’s found a home to be displayed and loved in, but also a bit sad as a part of me is gone. Beyond grateful for my art journey especially since I just came back after 15 years. I'm nervous though, I wont lie. As a person who has a lot of weight in his shoulders, taking a big risk following this art journey is a bit... out of the ordinary.
