🚨 DEEP ORANGE 14 IS COMPLETE 🚨 This autonomous tracked vehicle took what was Deep Orange 13 to the next level, and would serve to deliver supplies and gather real time data in a national disaster scenario. Sponsored by the US Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center, DO14 has lidars, cameras, and GNSS to help navigate unknown terrain at up to 45 mph, with amazing maneuverability. The vehicle was unveiled publicly this week at GVSETS in Michigan, and is a testament to the engineering capability of our students, the leadership of the VIPR-GS Center (under which this project falls) and the guidance of our very own Dr. Chris Paredis and David Gorsich, US Army Chief Scientist at GVSC.
