This is a joke, first of all! I’m actually very happy to talk about my ghostwriting experience. I just couldn’t pass up the sound. 🤭 However, people really do get upset when I tell them I’ve ghostwritten over 12 books for NYT bestselling authors and celebrities alike. I could’ve even written for your favorite author… and you would have no idea! So why am I not mad about not having credit? The biggest reason is that I sign up for ghostwriting jobs knowing that I won’t be credited. It’s clearly stated and an expectation upfront. I also like the process of collaborating and helping someone bring their story vision to life. Knowing my role when I sign up is key! Do I sometimes walk past tables of books I’ve ghostwritten and wish more people knew that I’ve written some of their favorite books? It’s a weird feeling, but I am just genuinely grateful that I was paid to write books that people love. And now that my debut has been published—and became an instant USA Today bestseller—with more books on the way, I’m happy for every step that led me to this place. 🥹🫶 If you do have ghostwriting questions, feel free to drop them below!
