8BHow I smashed this animation together. A breakdown.
Starts with a rough sketch to get the basic movement right.
Then line art to tie down the details.
Add in the colour layer.
Then smash those together to get a more detailed character.
And finally composing that into a background.
I love the look that frame by frame animation gets you. It’s giving old school 90s cartoons.
This was a fun little exercise. If you want to get your character animated just hit me up.

POBlastoise is not simply an evolution.
It is dominance fully realized.
In a realistic reinterpretation, Blastoise would stand well over 1.6 meters tall when fully upright, with a massive, heavily reinforced skeletal frame designed to support extreme internal pressure systems. Its presence alone would alter the atmosphere of its environment.
This is not a large turtle.
This is a siege-engine organism evolved for hydraulic force.

POWartortle represents transition.
No longer the innocent curiosity of Squirtle, not yet the overwhelming force of Blastoise — it is controlled power in development. Discipline shaped by water.
In a realistic reinterpretation, Wartortle would stand close to one meter tall, with a compact yet visibly strengthened build. Its musculature would be defined beneath hydrated, elastic skin adapted for both aquatic propulsion and terrestrial stability.
The skin would not be smooth or plastic-like. Instead, it would resemble a hybrid between reptilian and amphibian biology — semi-moist, subtly textured with micro-pores, faint natural creases around joints, and slightly darker pigmentation along stress points like shoulders and thighs. Under sunlight, it would reflect softly with a muted, organic sheen.
Its posture would communicate balance and awareness — a creature constantly calculating its environment.
