❤️ Apple Jam Using Beet Cubes Ingredients • Apples (peeled, cored, chopped) – 1 kg • Sugar – 350 g (adjust to taste) • Lemon juice – 2½ tbsp • Water – ½ cup • Salt – a tiny pinch • Beetroot – 2–3 small cubes only (15–20 g) 👩‍🍳 Method 1. Cook the apples Add chopped apples, water, beet cubes, to a heavy-bottomed pan. Cook on medium heat until apples turn soft and mushy. 2. Remove beet cubes Once the colour is released and apples are cooked, remove and discard the beet cubes , you can keep 1-2 cubes while blending for colour. 3. Blend Blend the apple mixture until smooth for a store-style jam texture. 4. Add sugar & lemon juice Return to the pan, add sugar and lemon juice. Cook on low–medium heat, stirring often. 5. Thicken the jam Cook until glossy and thick. Jam will continue to thicken as it cools. 6. Spoon test: drop a little on a plate,it should slowly settle, not run. 7. Cool completely and store in a clean, dry glass jar. Refrigerate and use within 2–3 weeks. Homemade apple jam made simple .soft, sweet apples slowly cooked down into a rich, glossy spread that tastes so much better than store-bought. Perfect on warm toast, pancakes, or just by the spoon. Add 1 cup sugar and mix well. 2️⃣Cook for 2 minutes while stirring continuously. Transfer the mixture to a mixer jar. Add about 1 cup of water and grind into a fine puree. 3️⃣Pour the puree back into the same pan. 4️⃣Cook on medium flame, stirring continuously until it becomes thick and reaches a jam-like consistency. 5️⃣Add half lemon juice and mix well. Let it cool completely. 6️⃣Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate for 3–4 hours. Simple mixed berry jam 🍓🫐 Ingredients: 500g of any fruit frozen or not 2 cups of sugar Zest of 1 lemon Juice of 1 lemon 1/3 cup water Method: 1. To a pot add in your ingredients mix and then over the stove bring it to a simmer on low heat and let simmer for about 30 to 40mins til thickened 2. Then let it cool, while that is happening sterilized your jars and lid before pouring in your jam into them. 3. Then once jars are filled and sealed.
