MAI'm utterly devastated to be writing this post....
Sadly we lost our beautiful Betty boo this morning. She took her last ever cuddle with me in her green hat. She snuggled down, put her head under my hand and closed her soft brown eyes for the last time. She waited for me, she wanted us to do this together and I am forever grateful She let me be with her right to the very end.
She was nearly 6 and a half years old and after having many chickens I could tell she was slowing down. The last couple of days she had started to struggle and I kind of knew this was nearly the end.
She honestly was my soul bird. She was the funniest, cleverest, and most sassy little chicken in the world. She was obviously the loudest little chicken too, with those powerful lungs she has delivered endless hours of joyful screaming for us and my neighbours. I will miss her terribly. She was the queen of chickens, the most famous little chicken on the Internet.
