During the visit, they had the opportunity to tour several of the outstanding Career Technical Education (CTE) programs across the school districts we proudly partner with. From hands-on learning environments to innovative career pathways, it was a great chance to showcase the impact these programs have on preparing students for real-world success. A big thank you to our district partners, educators, and students who made this visit so meaningful. Awesome day touring about half a dozen Career Technical Education programs at Shasta Union, Foothill, and Enterprise! I am so impressed with the pathways we are building to help students jump straight into solid careers right out of high school or to be many steps ahead for careers requiring for your degree or advanced degrees. Last February I sponsored a proclamation calling February career technical education month and I believe this is a key strength and asset we have in Shasta County and one we can leverage to develop our economy. Big thanks to Brett Barnes and his whole crew for the amazing work they’ve done and for taking me around today!! #shasta #shastacounty #redding #careerteched
