Every 2 minutes: complete 4 reps of each movement and then rest in remaining time -Shoot to finish with about 1 minute left for rest -Lunges are 4 total and alternating. So 2 each side. Technique Tip Tuesday The Push Press combines strength and power seamlessly in a full body movement. 5 keys to have you pressing with power: 1. Push press is a hip driven movement. Arms and shoulders do the steering. 2. Start in a racked position with your forearm vertical. 3. Dip the hips by pushing the knees forward and slightly out. 4. Hips push back slightly, but keep the torso vertical. 5. Push down into the floor with your legs, create upward momentum through your hips, continue the push with your shoulders to a locked out overhead position. Workout details ⬇️ -Descending Rep scheme: Perform 10 reps of each movement, then 9, then 8 etc all the way down to 1 each -I would try to take a quick break before going into the devil presses -Ensure full ROM and points of performance including: -Deadlift: Full extension of the hips -Squat: Going below parallel at the bottom -Devil Press: Chest should hit the ground, power through the hips and full extension of hips and elbows at the top. DEVIL PRESS - Why Technique Matters 🔍 When done right, the devil press is one smooth motion from the ground to overhead. ✅ Correct technique: •As you drop down, place the dumbbells shoulder-width apart and let your chest fall between them. •From the bottom, use your hips and momentum to drive the dumbbells up in a snatch-like motion, straight from the floor to overhead. Result: one explosive movement, minimal strain, and maximum efficiency. ❌ Common mistakes: Placing the dumbbells too close together, so your chest lands on them instead of between, reducing stability and flow. Muscling the dumbbells up into a clean, then pressing overhead turning it into two separate lifts instead of one fluid snatch. Result: more time, more effort, more fatigue. 💡 Why it matters: The correct setup keeps the movement fast and energy efficient, which is crucial in high rep workouts.
