JA90% of my laundry is running clothes and because it’s winter, I’m doing a lot of laundry 😬😬
Someone asked me the other day what my fav high impact sports bras are and I didn’t know how to tell her that my fav one is like 8 years old😅 And it got me thinking….how do I keep my gear smelling nice and lasting long?
🔹 wash running clothes with cold water
🔹DON’T DRY your spandex, leggings, or sports bras. I hang up 90% of my laundry.
🔹wear more than once. I know I know, sounds gross, but in the winter, reuse outerwear for a few runs before washing. I can sometimes get away with reusing a sports bra or leggings if it’s been a few days since laundry day😅
🔹use a garment bag! I throw my nicer sports bras in a mesh garment bag to protect them from zippers and bra clasps

Just like in fashion, there are a ton of companies trying to make it seem like they are making quote unquote clean products, based on their language and marketing, when the reality is they’re still tossing in tons of scents, AKA chemicals, to mask the bad job your laundry detergent does at cleaning.
Synthetic fragrances are often listed as ‘fragrance’ in the ingredient list, and you are not required to list the chemicals that make up that fragrance – which is wild when a single scent can contain up to 300 distinct chemicals!

SW⚠️Look out for these three ingredients. I see them frequently in “clean” detergents:
❌Fragrance - a mix of undisclosed chemicals
❌Benzisothiazolinone - allergenic preservative
❌Sodium lauryl ether sulfate - may contain carcinogenic byproducts
