A participle is a verb form used as an adjective or to form verb tenses.
✔️ What is a participle?
English has two participles:
Present participle: ends in -ing → doing
Past participle: usually ends in -ed, but to do is irregular → done
Both forms are important, but they are used differently.

The imperative is used to give orders, instructions, advice, or requests. It always uses the base form of the verb (without to).

The imperative with do can express:
A direct command
A request
Encouragement
Permission
Warning or emphasis
It is addressed to you (the listener), but the subject is not stated.

1. Affirmative imperative: Do…
Used to tell someone to perform an action.
Examples:
Do your homework.
Do the dishes, please.

2. Negative imperative: Don’t do…
Used to tell someone not to perform an action.
