✨Easter Bread ✨🐇 A delicious, lightly sweetened, soft & airy Easter Bread that tastes so good! It’s sweetened with honey and I also used olive oil giving it an amazing flavour. Lemon zest & vanilla is a must. I used the Vanillin packet but liquid vanilla is great too! Here’s my Recipe!! Saves, likes & comments appreciated!🥰 1 cup milk (Regular or dairy free) warmed up (95 degrees F) ⅓ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pinch of salt 1 ½ tsp instant yeast 2 eggs (at room temp) 1/2 cup honey 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract Grated lemon zest of 1 lemon 3.5 cups all-purpose flour (start with 3.5 cups and add as needed to make a soft, but not wet, dough) For top of Easter Bread: 1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water In a large bowl combine the yeast, salt, eggs and honey. Add the olive oil, warm milk, lemon & vanilla and mix together. Mix in a small amounts of flour until you have a soft, slightly sticky dough. (You may not need all of it, or you may need a bit more, just add it until the dough is not wet anymore.) Knead until smooth with either the dough hook or by hand. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1.5-2 hours. Once the dough has risen, divide into 9 even pieces. Roll each piece to form about a ¾ inch rope 12 inches long, then twist 3 ropes to form a braid, pinching the ends together folding underneath. Place braids on a parchment lined baking pan, cover and let rise again; 1/2 to 1 hour. Brush with egg wash and bake at 350 for 15-20 min or until golden brown. Celebrate Easter with us by sharing your tradition below or perhaps….consider starting the Easter bread tradition XO Babs 🐣INGREDIENTS: 1 - 1⁄4 oz pkg instant dry yeast 11⁄4 cups whole milk,warmed Pinch of kosher salt 1⁄3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar 1⁄2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 tsp lemon zest 3 large eggs, room temperature, divided 31⁄2–41⁄2 cups all-purpose flour, divided Sprinkles, to decorate 6 raw, dyed Easter eggs 🐣INSTRUCTIONS: To the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the yeast, milk, salt, butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and 2 eggs. Mix on medium speed until combined. Switch to the dough hook attachment. Add 13⁄4 cups flour and mix, working the our into the egg mixture. Mix in more our, a little at a time, until the dough is no longer sticky, up to 23⁄4 cups more flour.XO Babs Turn the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead it for 1 to 2 minutes. Place in a lightly greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place the dough in a warm spot to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 14 inches long and 1 inch wide. Take two ropes and twist together. Then with the twist, form a circle. Repeat to make 6 circle “wreaths.” Place the wreaths on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap, place in a warm spot, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 egg with 1 teaspoon water. After the wreaths have doubled in size, brush with the egg wash. Sprinkle with the sprinkles. Place a dyed egg in the center of each wreath. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the wreath is golden brown. #easter #easterbread

Golden Easter Bread (Paska) 12g yeast 150g sugar 1/2 teaspoons salt 10g vanilla sugar 6 eggs yolk 200ml warm milk 100g melted butter 50g raisins 1 orange zest 500g flour Instructions 1. Prepare the Yeast (The Sponge) In a small bowl, crumble the yeast into the warm milk. Add 1 tablespoon of the sugar and 2 tablespoons of the flour (taken from the total amount). Stir and let it sit in a warm place for about 15–20 minutes until it becomes bubbly and foamy. 2. Cream the Yolks In a large mixing bowl, whisk the 6 egg yolks with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until the mixture is pale and slightly fluffy. 3. Mix the Dough • Pour the activated yeast mixture into the yolk mixture. • Gradually add the sifted flour, mixing with a wooden spoon or a dough hook. • Once the flour is mostly incorporated, pour in the melted butter (ensure it’s not hot, just warm). • Knead the dough for about 10–15 minutes. It will be sticky at first, but keep kneading until it becomes smooth and elastic. 4. Add Flavors & First Rise Fold in the raisins and orange zest. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free spot for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it has doubled in size. 5. Shaping and Second Rise • Punch the dough down gently. Divide it into portions and place them into greased baking molds (fill them only 1/3 of the way up). • Let them rise again in the molds for another 45–60 minutes until they reach near the top. 6. Baking Preheat your oven to 180°C. Bake for 30–45 minutes, depending on the size of your molds. If the tops brown too quickly, cover them loosely with foil. #Easter #easterbread #bread #baking

Soft, sweet, and beautifully twisted – a delicious centerpiece for Easter! 🥰 📝Ingredients for the dough: • 250 g all-purpose flour (2 cups) • 30 g sugar (2 ½ tbsp) • ½ tsp salt • 1 tsp instant yeast • 125 ml lukewarm milk (½ cup) • 40 g soft butter (3 tbsp) • 1 egg (medium) • 1 tsp vanilla extract For the hazelnut filling: • 80 g ground hazelnuts (¾ cup) • 30 g sugar (2 ½ tbsp) • 1 tsp cinnamon • 20 g soft butter (1 ½ tbsp) • 40 ml milk (2 ½ tbsp) • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup For brushing & decorating: • 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk • 50 g powdered sugar (½ cup) + 1–2 tsp milk for the glaze • Hazelnut slices 🤍 Instructions: 1. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Add the yeast with 1 tsp sugar and a little milk into the well, mix lightly, and let sit for 10 minutes. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (about 12 x 8 inches / 30 x 20 cm). Spread the hazelnut filling evenly on top. 5. Roll up the dough from the long side. Cut the roll lengthwise almost completely through, so you get two strands. Slightly pull them apart, twist them together, and shape into a wreath. Press the ends together firmly. 6. Place the wreath on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes. 7. Brush the wreath with the egg yolk-milk mixture and sprinkle with hazelnut slices. Baking time: 20–25 minutes at 350°F (180°C) until golden brown. 8. Let the wreath cool down. Mix powdered sugar with milk and lightly brush over the wreath for a subtle glaze.
