GEThe Heihe–Blagoveshchensk Bridge is the first permanent road bridge linking China and Russia across the Amur River, connecting Heihe and Blagoveshchensk. Stretching about 1,080 meters, it replaces decades of seasonal ferries, temporary pontoon bridges, and winter ice roads that once limited movement between the two border cities. The new crossing provides reliable year round road access where transport was previously dictated by weather.
Built to expand bilateral trade and strengthen regional supply chains, the bridge reduces freight costs, shortens delivery times, and increases cargo capacity between northeastern China and Russia’s Far East.
