NOMy husband is a doctor and he couldn’t agree more. If we change the way we eat - prioritize one ingredient real foods and significantly limit the amount of ultra processed foods we eat, as well as drink, we would improve our health drastically!!
A pill is easy to take, but it is a band-aid and without putting in the work and changing the way you eat, move, think and do, you will likely be on that band-aid medicine for the rest of your life. And guys, we weren’t designed to be on all those chronic medicines!
The biggest lesson I can share, from my own experience is that when you change the way you eat, you change your health forever!!
Chronic medicines, frequent headaches, GI distress, acne, behavior disorders, obesity, weight gain, lethargy.... this ISN’T NORMAL! Sure, you can continue doing exactly what you are doing and take a pill for the rest of your life. You can support Big Pharma and help them profit.....
OR.... you can take back your health, your life, your family!
Changing the foods we eat - switching to more real 1 ingredient foods and cooking at home is the best medicine you can ever take! Moving your body, walking, lifting, bike riding is the best medicine you can take. Getting outside, skipping the sunscreen and letting the morning sun kiss your skin, breathing in the fresh air and nature is the best medicine you can take. Prioritizing sleep instead of staying up until midnight watching netflix is the best medicine you can take.
Friends, let’s put the chronic pill side of big pharma out of business! If you don’t do it for you, do it for your kids!

THHave you made a plan for the golden hour after your baby is born?
Do you want to birth your placental physiologically or with a synthetic oxytocin injection in your thigh?
The use of synthetic oxytocin has been linked (not facts but links, see comment for info) to reduced breast feeding rates & post natal depression as well as an 8 fold increased chance of haemorrhage in people who have had a physiological birth. You do not need medical intervention to birth your placenta if you do not want it.
Placentas, like babies come when they are ready. This is usually within around an hour after your birth but can be longer. If you are well & not actively bleeding there is no rush. If you are skin to skin with your baby, with no hat on them, your oxytocin is boosted & their little crawling type wriggles on your abdomen help to stimulate the contraction of your uterus down, which shears the placenta from your uterine wall as it shrinks, clamping off the blood vessels & preventing excessive blood loss. We are designed to loose some blood at birth. This is perfectly normal & nothing to worry about.
It is normal to have a separation bleed as the placenta is coming away, this blood in fact helps the placenta to peel off the uterine wall & come away as it pools between the placenta and uterus pushing the placenta away from the uterine wall. Often the placenta will sit in your vagina until you stand up or go to the toilet (the bladder can get in the way of it coming down).
Haemorrhage is 50% less likely in a home setting. You feel safer & are less disturbed than in a hospital setting. Being frightened, disturbed or separated from your baby all can contribute to increased blood loss.
An injection of synthetic oxytocin can be used if there is increased bleeding. But you can also try boosting your own natural oxytocin by being warm, undisturbed, in a dark, cosy environment with your baby skin to skin & if they feel like it, suckling at the breast. Or you can stimulate your breast or nipple with hand expression to help boost oxytocin if needed.
If your labour has been augmented by synthetic oxytocin or you have had an epidural, a managed birth of your placenta may be safer
