I had the privilege of sharing my thoughts on **Software Architecture** at the **10th anniversary of Javaday in Istanbul**. 🎙️ This conference is truly one of the most inspiring gatherings for Java enthusiasts, and being part of it was an honor.
🔍 My topic was **”Elegance & Enigma of Software Architecture”**. In my talks, I delved into the intricacies of architectural design, emphasizing both its enigmatic nature and its elegant simplicity. Here are some key takeaways from my presentation:
1. **Think Like an Architect**: To create meaningful software, one must adopt the mindset of an architect. This involves understanding not only the technical aspects but also the broader context—the decision-making processes within an organization and the key business drivers.
2. **The Enigma of Software Architecture**: Why is software architecture often seen as mysterious? It’s because it requires balancing multiple trade-offs: performance vs. scalability, maintainability vs. flexibility, security vs. usability—the list goes on. Navigating these trade-offs is both an art and a science.
3. **Elegance in Simplicity**: Despite its complexity, elegant software architecture is characterized by simplicity. Strive for clarity, avoid unnecessary complexity, and focus on solving the right problems. Simplicity doesn’t mean oversimplification; it means finding the most effective solution with the fewest moving parts.
4. **Business-Driven Decisions**: Architects must align their decisions with the organization’s goals. Consider the business impact of architectural choices. Sometimes, the most technically impressive solution isn’t the best one for the business.

If you’re doing DSA in Java… you might be slowing down your placements.
Read this before it’s too late.
Most students don’t fail because they didn’t work hard.
They fail because they followed the wrong approach.
WHERE JAVA HOLDS YOU BACK
• Too verbose → more typing, less thinking
• Slower in interviews → speed matters
• Boilerplate kills flow
• Most competitive coding is in C++
• Performance issues in edge cases
Result?
You solve fewer problems → weaker intuition.
BUT JAVA IS NOT THE PROBLEM
Used right, Java is powerful:
✅ Strong for backend roles
✅ Builds OOP + LLD clarity
✅ Clean and readable in interviews
✅ Huge ecosystem (Spring, Microservices)
The real issue = HOW you use it.
COMMON MISTAKES
• Focusing on syntax, not patterns
• Solving less due to slow coding
• Avoiding hard problems
• No revision → random practice
• Over-dependence on IDE
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Best approach:
👉 DSA in C++/Python (speed + exposure)
👉 Java for development + interviews
If sticking to Java:
👉 Use templates + shortcuts
👉 Focus on patterns
👉 Revise problems
👉 Solve daily (2–3 questions minimum)
HOW TO ACTUALLY IMPROVE
• Practice pattern-wise (DP, Graphs, Sliding Window)
• Build reusable templates
• Time yourself
• Re-solve top questions multiple times
TRUTH
Language doesn’t get you placed.
Problem-solving + consistency does.
But the wrong language strategy will slow you down.

👉 But actually, DI is a concept, not a framework feature ✅
✅ Yes, we can perform DI using Core Java
In Core Java, DI is done manually.
✅ How it works
Instead of creating objects inside a class using new,
👉 We create the dependency outside and inject it into the class.
✅ Types of Dependency Injection
1️⃣ Constructor Injection
Dependencies are passed through the constructor
2️⃣ Setter Injection
Dependencies are set using setter methods
✅ Example Idea
Without DI:
Class creates its own dependency → tight coupling ❌
With DI:
Dependency is passed from outside → loose coupling ✅
✅ Role of Spring
Frameworks like Spring automate DI using an IoC container,
but in Core Java → we handle it manually

Interviewer wants to check your understanding of concepts, not just tools.
