💎I was fortunate to also see The Okavango Blue of Botswana a rare 20.46 carat, Fancy Deep Blue diamond, declared as a “Once in a lifetime find”.
💎The House of Botswana and Okavango Diamond Company are also involved in promoting sustainable practices within their communities through various projects, educational programs, and job-creation efforts!
Diamonds from Botswana are not just precious stones but a symbol of transformation, progress, and human potential!

JEThe second day of the JCK Las Vegas show is upon us 🎉 and there’s some excitement happening in the Design Collective booth no. 15030! 💫 Meet Lex Atencio of 50-year-old jewelry brand John Atencio. Lex is the next generation of his father’s design studio, and you can meet and speak to them both if you head to their booth on Level 2 of JCK Las Vegas 📍✨
The company is carrying on its tradition of modern karat-gold and diamond-dusted designs through a trio of contemporary collections.
First up is Bellagio, which features slender sculptural silhouettes made with first-time collectors in mind. The styles are lighter in weight than some of the brand’s other offerings and bear a visibly sinuous aesthetic.
The next collection is Havana, which is inspired by a request for a cigar-style thick wide band. Lex designed this collection and explains that its bold, chunkier looks deliver both a visual impact and an attainable series of price points 💰.
A final offering is a new Zodiac and Medallions collection. Symbols in it include Hamsas 🪬, zodiac signs ♈♎♒, and evil eyes 🧿, all which allow the wearer to personalize their Atenco designs, easily layering and mixing in newer works with earlier acquisitions ✨. All bear the hallmarks of the Atencio design DNA—modern styling, bold yellow gold 💛, and diamonds 💎.
