Little bit of a #memorymonday (didn’t even know that was a thing) I think this was the JFAC Doom Release show but I could be wrong. This was def the first few months of me joining SS in 2005. We played the JFAC EP release show and they played our EP release show, both shows really stick out in my brain. Good ass pure fun raging with few cares and big goals. Somehow I knew it was the beginning of something that was gonna be badass.

@jfacofficial - Sun of Nihility . Been listening to the last two JFAC records a lot recently. When writing @unburier stuff I try and listen to as much of the stuff I want to emulate as I can, and Nick's bass playing on these two records is iconic for a reason. There's just something about a raw DI bass tone with exceptionally melodic lines that separates the bass from the wall of noise that is metal guitar and drums. Whilst not originally played on a fretless, I thought I'd give this famous jfac intro a shot on it. Not perfect, but it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. . Tone is just my @officialibanezguitars EHB1005f running through my @seymourduncanpickups studio bass compressor and out the DI on my @darkglasselectronics B7K Ultra. There's some light EQ from there but the drive and cab sim are disabled, this is a very raw tone. . #metal #jobforacowboy #nickshinz #shinzbass #techdeath #deathmetal #extrememetal #thrashmetal #havok #nuclearpowertrio #progmetal #bassplayer #bassist #fretlessbass #basssolo #guitarsolo #unburier
