Practice.
A good routine if you’re not sure where to start:
- 5-10 minutes scales & exercises to warm up
- 5-10 minutes learning songs & practicing songs you’ve already learned
- 5-10 minutes experimenting, jamming, playing over backing track, etc
A little noodling never hurt anybody either.

TO#bass #music getting back into playing bass again. Honestly I don’t know what I’m doing on bass. I’m playing the bass like I would a drum and it’s cool to take drum exercises and put them on bass. IDK … give me pointers on this folks.

OLEverything else is irrelevant, the only people who disagree with this take are the ones who don’t want to admit they’ve wasted so much money on gear. Someone is gonna be in the comments saying “BuT YoU HaVe 3 gUtAiRs BeHiNd YoU!”, yes and that is what qualifies me to say that they are useless, at no point has a new bass ever made me a better bassist.
If you wanna get better just practice and get better.
