We’re a small, private, home-based preschool serving 3–5-year-olds in the mornings only. This month, we’re learning a new nursery rhyme each day to strengthen rhyming and oral language skills. Here’s what’s happening in each center: 🫖Sensory Table: “I’m a Little Teapot” theme with black beans and a wooden tea party set. 🥚Block Center: Wooden unit blocks from @constructiveplaythingsco and plastic eggs turned into Humpty Dumpty. 🧲Magnet Board: DIY magnet boards made from oil drip pans spray painted black — perfect for assembling nursery rhyme puzzles. ☕️Dramatic Play Center: Fancy tea party setup with dress-up clothes, flowers, a tea set, and cookie treats. 🧁Play Dough Center: Cupcake creation station with purple homemade play dough, muffin tins, cupcake liners, and flower pieces. 🔠Literacy Center: Build-your-name activity using plastic Scrabble tiles. 💡Light Table: Tower building challenge with small plastic cups. 🧺Bulletin Board: “A Tisket, A Tasket” themed rhyme-matching game using eggs and baskets. 🔢Math Center: “1-2 Buckle My Shoe” activity using geoboards and rubber bands to form numbers. 🐛Felt Board: Retelling The Very Hungry Caterpillar with felt pieces from @RallyFeltCo. 📚Classroom Library: Nursery rhyme books and retelling trays available for cozy reading and storytelling. 🟣Circle Time Carpet: Our gathering space with a rocking chair and easel where we hold morning meetings and circle time lessons. 🚁Science Center: Exploring “things that spin” with a salad spinner, lazy susan, yo-yos, spinning tops, and books about helicopters. 🎨Art Cart: Fully stocked with paper, crayons, markers, tape, and scissors for open-ended creativity.
