Don’t sleep on this variation if you’re trying to build stronger calves. 🦵🔥 A front foot elevated double leg calf raise is one of my favorite ways to train the calves because the elevation lets you drop into a deeper stretch at the bottom before pressing up. That extra range of motion means the calf muscles have to work a little harder. This is great for strengthening both of the main calf muscles: • Gastroc – the bigger muscle that helps with powerful movements like running and jumping 🏃 • Soleus – the deeper muscle that works more during things like walking, standing, and endurance work 🚶 Training both matters if you want strong, resilient lower legs.
