A hole is created in the skin, the base of the jewelry is then inserted, with the “feet” of the jewelry just under the surface of the skin. It’s followed by the top being screwed on! As cute and amazing they are it’s always good to keep in mind Micro-dermals do have a rejection rate higher than a “normal” piercing. It’s important to keep a close eye on it during the healing process and if you’re ever concerned see your closest piercer! #dermal #microdermalpiercing

1. You do not need surgery to remove a dermal. The correct term is “surgical removal,” but it’s a minor procedure involving a small incision beneath the epidermis. The area can be numbed to reduce pain and make removal more comfortable. 2. Dermals are semi-permanent. They can last months or even years, but your body may naturally reject foreign objects over time. This is because your skin cells multiply daily, which can cause dermals to “sink in” or become covered by new skin growth. 3. Aftercare is everything. Clean the area at least 3 times a day. Wear loose-fitting clothes and avoid friction. Whenever you’re doing any rigorous movements—especially within the first 3–4 weeks—make sure to cover and protect your dermals to help them heal securely using a bandaid. I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me so far and allowed me to practice on them — your trust means everything. 💕 I also want to sincerely apologize to anyone whose dermals have already come out or may come out in the future. Please know that I’m working diligently every day to perfect my craft and secure a credible apprenticeship.
