Coils are electromagnetic devices that can send and receive signals through air, making new, creative ways to route audio.
In this clip I’ve got a Machine Drum and a Model D sending audio through the air to an Octatrack sequenced FX chain and an Eventide Space to make a tough electro heater on the fly.
Swapping each instrument into each effect to create sonic movement and playing with different distances for dynamics.

Here‘s my free Black Friday tip:
I’ve recently moved my trusty old Behringer Model D from a rack directly in front of my monitor in the center of my desk and now I use it almost every day! It sounds amazing. They’re super cheap on the used market. Maybe you already own one or something similar.
Here I’m playing it together with some Ableton stock plugins and I probably don’t need new plugins (we‘ll see about that 😬)
