It even comes with a massive rock of solidified magma that you can gawk at while the soaring falcons steal the spotlight 🙃 📍Morro Rock, California Located in Morro Bay, near San Luis Obispo 💜 *NOT to be confused with Moro Rock at Sequioa National Park* 🪨 This rock is a volcanic plug, formed from a volcano that erupted 23 million years ago! 🔥 Hot magma from an erupted volcano welled up and solidified into softer rock thus forming this rock. Interesting fact: there’s nine others like it strewn across Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo- called the NINE SISTERS! Its landmark is Morro Rock, a volcanic hill that rises 177 meters out of the sea directly in front of the town and is visible from afar. The city is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering kayaking, paddleboarding, and bird-watching within its protected estuary. Morro Bay State Park provides hiking trails with breathtaking coastal views, while the waterfront Embarcadero hosts seafood restaurants, shops, and art galleries. In addition visitors come for the sea otters, which can often be seen in large numbers in the harbor. ✨ Share with someone who need a trip to Morro Rock in 2023! 📍Located along the Pacific Coast Highway in California, this is one of the most unique beaches in the area. Sunrise and sunset here need to be on everyone’s bucket list! If flying a Drone here, make sure you don’t fly anywhere near Morro Rock itself, as the area close to the rock and the rock itself are off limits to drones. We made sure to stay as far away as you see here in the video, and double checked with rangers prior to flying! ✈️ Come join along on our adventures! @thenationalparktravelers #morrorock #pacificcoasthighway #californiabeaches #visitcalifornia #morrobay
