Egor Vladimirovich Demin (Егор Владимирович Дëмин), born on March 3, 2006 in Moscow, Russia, is a Russian professional basketball player currently playing as a tall guard/point-guard for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA, who was selected with the 8th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft after one standout college season at Brigham Young University (BYU) where he earned Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors with averages of about 10.6 points, 5.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Demin grew up in a basketball family—his father, Vladimir Demin, was a professional player—and trained at the Moscow Basketball Academy (Trinta) before signing a six-year contract with Real Madrid’s youth system at age 15, winning youth titles and making a senior team debut in Spain.
