VAThis is NOT medical advice ‼️ This is simply me talking about my own experience with birth control.
The pills gave me too many side effects. Nexplanon (aka the implant) have me horrible cystic acne. I found out about Nuvaring and it made complete sense to me. Then it nearly killed me - twice. Of course, I couldn’t do anything about it legally - the potential side effect is in the fine print (because of course it is).
I can never take hormones again. I now have Paragard, the copper IUD and the only form of long-term, non-hormonal birth control available. It is effective at preventing pregnancy for 10-12 years.

THNuvaring is placed for 3 weeks then removed for a week for a withdrawal bleed. Use a new ring every month. Annovera is the same frequency but you can use that ring up to 13 cycles or one year! I’ve used both and love them! What do you think of the ring?! Dr. Montes 💛
