I’ve been sitting on it for awhile because I was going to start posting regularly, but I need to work a few things out first before I get back to it. hope you all enjoy! this garment is probably the most beautiful thing I’ve created, and definitely something I wouldn’t normally create, as I stick to functional fashion with less “flashy” elements. what I love MOST about this piece though, is how it literally looks like you’re wearing nature…the textures really pop off the canvas and give it an authentic feel. can’t wait to show y’all the process of how I fully made it, coming in the next few days. if you’ve made it this far down, thanks and I love you 🙏🏾♥️. #odod #slowfashion #streetwear

I produttori spesso vendono alla grande distribuzione attraverso aste al ribasso: cioè aste dove il prezzo invece che salire, scende. In altre parole, una gara a chi è disposto a guadagnare di meno pur di vendere i propri prodotti. Un sistema a piramide dove l’anello più debole – ovvero chi raccoglie i prodotti agricoli – è spesso quello che paga il prezzo più caro di un costante sforzo al ribasso. Nel nuovo episodio di What We Eat abbiamo cercato di capire meglio i fenomeni del caporalato e dello sfruttamento agricolo a partire dalle loro radici, studiando l’eredità coloniale con cui ancora oggi, più o meno consciamente, ci ritroviamo a fare i conti. Producers often sell to large retailers through “downward auctions”: that is, auctions where the price falls instead of rising. In other words, a competition between who is willing to earn less. It is a pyramid system where the farm labourers sit at the bottom. In the new episode of What We Eat, we tried to better understand the phenomena of illegal hiring and agricultural exploitation starting from their roots, studying the colonial legacy that still affects our food system today.
