My 3 non-negotiables ⬇️ I post a lot about studying, my business, and other productivity things, and so many people have asked how I’m able to get so much done. How do I stay focused? How do you achieve so much? How do you never get distracted? The truth is… I’m no different to you. I used to procrastinate, get distracted, stress out over work. This is completely normal and you aren’t alone in facing these things. However, over the years, I’ve discovered a handful of ways to keep myself on task, and have a clear system to use every day, centred around 3 non-negotiables: 1️⃣ Exercise every single morning Usually I go to the gym, sometimes I run… either way I try to get my heart rate up in some way as this wakes me up and gives me so much energy for the day. 2️⃣ No social media before 12pm This is a big one that I’ve only started recently. I know just how much of an impact scrolling has on my energy and focus, so I save it until I’ve gotten my highest priority work done for the day. 3️⃣ Get ready every day Get dressed. Brush my teeth. Do skincare. If I don’t do these things, my mind assumes today is a rest day and I know I won’t get anything meaningful done. We all have different rituals that help us, and this is simply what works best for me 💌 #student #podcast #study #entrepreneurship #womeninbusiness #entrepreneur #medicine

10 productive things you can do instead of scroll on your phone: ⬇️ (Number 10 is the most important) 1. Do some form of exercise. Lifting, running, walking. Something that will make your body mentally or physically healthier 2. Watch an educational podcast. If you struggle to focus on a book, I recommend this 3. Read a book. Reading rather than watching I find make the information stick in my head more 4. Write down your goals. Sit down, write out what you want to achieve, and set a plan to get them 5. Do something you really love. A hobby, socialising, whatever it may be, spend time doing things that bring you joy 6. Spend time learning a new skill. Whether it’s for fun, or to bring in money, learn something valuable like content creation, filming, sales etc. 7. Practise mediation. If you can learn to sit and observe your own thoughts without needing a phone, you’re head of 99% of people. Don’t sleep on this one 8. Get outdoors. Even if it’s just your garden, sunlight or daylight is a natural mood booster, and it’s good for your health, so get outside my friend 9. Catch up on any housework. I know it sounds boring man, but cleaning up your environment or doing that thing you’ve been putting off will make your headspace so much clearer 10. We’re all human. I get that people will scroll on their phone. And you, yes YOU….i know you’re on your phone rn, so I’ll make a deal. Start: If you want to stop being lazy, you need to at least read this whole thing… The 2 Minute Rule: The 2 minute rule is simple. Whenever you feel too lazy to do something, tell yourself you’re just going to do it for 2 minutes and then you can stop. It sounds stupid, but here’s WHY it works so well: - the hardest part about any task is starting it especially since there’s so many more entertaining things to be doing - the 2 minute rule lowers this resistance to starting allowing you to overcome the procrastination you face, easier - It also allows you to build the habit of “showing up” when you say you will, hence training your discipline at the same time! So, if you’re too lazy to study, convince yourself to just sit down and read 2 pages of your notes (2 minutes worth of work). After the 2 minutes are up, chances are you’ll just continue with the task since you have already built momentum! Start the email. Write the first sentence. Starting removes the mental resistance, and most of the time you’ll naturally keep going once you begin. How to try it today: Pick one task you’ve been avoiding and set a 2-minute timer. Just start. 2. Write things down (physically). Your brain is great at thinking, not holding information. When you write things down on paper, you: • remember things better • clear mental clutter • stop constantly trying to “keep everything in your head” How to try it today: Take 3 minutes and write tomorrow’s to-do list on paper before bed. 3. Change your environment. Your environment quietly controls your focus. If your phone is next to you, your brain is waiting for it to light up. How to try it today: Put your phone in another room while you work on one task. Even 20–30 minutes of distraction-free focus can change your entire day.
