SWSo pleased to announce the launch of Open Studio. Every Tuesday evening, we’ll be opening the doors to invite you in for your own creativity.
Open Studio is two hours of shared creative focus, hosted by Swey Studio Founder, Agnes, online via Google Meet. This has been running beautifully under Agnes’s @chasing___angels #Substack space, and Swey Open Studio is its new permanent home — for everyone and anyone who needs some dedicated creative time to show up for their own projects and play.
Here’s how it works:
We say a brief hello and share what we’re working on for the first fifteen minutes, then cameras and mics go off for ninety minutes of focused creative time, and we come back together for a fifteen-minute debrief at the end. Simple, cringe-free, and surprisingly powerful.
Bring whatever you’re committed to working on, or just show up for your own inner creator and see what happens.
We have writers, painters, podcasters, print makers, sculptors... No agenda beyond showing up and making something, in the quiet company of other people doing the same.
It’s free. It always will be.

ARMost of my paintings, especially within my New Zip Code series, take time to unfold. They grow through layers, shaped by memory, movement, and the idea of belonging.
I often think about artists in the past who worked with the rhythm of seasons, waiting for light to return, for landscapes to shift, for something essential to reveal itself again.
Even in the fast pace of social media and AI, I try to protect the integrity of the work and let it develop in its own time.
If you’d like to experience the process up close, I’ll be part of Open Studios in Northwood (May 2 & 3), as part of MOSAIC 2026
