CEglad i got to be a part of pattern testing for the #cheomatop designed by @muunarchive !! what a gorgeous silhouette and incredibly detailed instructions
first time doing a pattern test — definitely learned a lot about the process and effort that goes into it! maybe one day i’ll work up to designing and releasing a pattern of my own
Pattern notes ✏️
- I used ponte knit from @moodfabrics in this denim-y blue. Definitely a heavier knit to provide some structure to the garment
- I bought 2 yards, made XS and have a lot left over. Might make a pair of matching shorts?
- XS was a bit roomy, I took in about 1cm from the edges. The pattern now offers more sizes and would recommend sizing down a size!
- I ended up not adding the hook and eyes since I kind of liked it without the hardware tho I was pretty torn
- stay tape made a huge difference! First time using it and it made it much easier to have even stitching
- first time using a twin needle, had to play around with tension to avoid tunnelling — ended up changing the tension to around 3.5 which helped
overall, really glad how this turned out and can’t wait to wear it when the heat wave dies down!!
