QuiltCon supply lists are NO JOKE. 😅 Six classes, six instructors, six lists... all with their own nuance, overlapping items, and special notes. So I did what any quilter with an AI assistant would do. I pulled info from the QuiltCon website AND my instructor emails, converted everything to PDF, and asked Claude to build me a packing list. What came back genuinely made me gasp. Not only did it build a MASTER consolidated list AND individual per-class lists... it sorted everything by CATEGORY. Cutting tools. Adhesives. Paper supplies. Fabric. Protective/utility items. Kits to purchase. It even caught that one instructor had sent an UPDATE via email that changed her supply list — and it flagged that in the document. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the most useful thing I've made for QuiltCon prep. Ever. Pantograph quilting used to feel a little intimidating to me, but this setup honestly makes it so doable. Plus, the Gracie Laser is 20% off this month! I’m quilting with a paper pantograph on the Cutie Breeze Frame and using the Gracie Laser to trace the design as I go. The laser attaches right to the carriage, it’s battery powered (no cords 🙌), fully adjustable, and even swivels so I can line it up exactly how I want. The different laser tips make it easy to choose how bold or precise I want my tracing line to be. It’s such a simple way to get clean, consistent edge-to-edge quilting without overcomplicating things, especially if you want a guided option. I would love your feedback! ✨ I have been working to create videos for each stencil pattern (long-overdue!) and after some testing I've discovered that stenciling on paper is the clearest on video to showcase how to create each pattern. 🖊 Should I be including more oral instruction, walking you through each pattern? Is short and simple with a few words on screen effective? I think down the road I would also like to include clips of stenciling on quilts along with showing the pattern being quilting on a domestic machine. But what are your thoughts?
