Actress Vicky Krieps revealed that she did not meet Daniel Day-Lewis until the first day of filming, because he stayed fully in character as Reynolds Woodcock throughout production. Krieps said it felt like she was meeting the character, not the actor, which added to the film’s unique chemistry and emotional realism.
