PHIn this clip, the client is working to achieve a more controlled right knee release.
During the gait cycle, knee release occurs at the transition from terminal stance to pre-swing. It is a complex motor behaviour involving the hip, knee and ankle/foot of the moving limb, and the critical postural stability requirements of the stance limb. It is an essential ingredient of a typical gait pattern, but one of the most challenging for persons with a neurological condition.
The gastrocnemius muscle is a bi-axial muscle crossing both the knee and ankle joints, as well as the tendo-achilles being continuous with the plantar fascia. Atypical muscle tone, tension and weakness of the gastrocnemius influences its ability to contribute appropriately to knee release. Manual facilitation and deweighting of gastrocnemius through the facilitation of backward step modulates the length-tension relationship, which in turn potentiates a more typical motor behaviour for the acquisition of knee release. We use this facilitation to give our clients the experience of this movement component, and to reinforce it into their gait pattern by integrating it into forward step.

OMScapulothoracic Upward dan downward rotation glide
Indikasi untuk memfasilitasi gerakan pada abduksi shoulder (upward) dan adduksi (downward).
Posisi pasien side lying menghadap terapis, kemudian tangan mobilisasi terapis melingkar ke tangan pasien memegang bagian inferior border scapula dan satu lagi dibagian superior scapula
Mobilisasi dilakukan ke arah upward dengan kedua tangan, begitu juga downward.
Dalam video diperagakan penggunaan glide grade I-IV sebagai opsi kebutuhan pasien saat kita berikan intervensi terapi manual.
