BRJupiter’s Great Red Spot is a vast anticyclonic storm that has been continuously observed for over 300 years.
It measures roughly 16,000 kilometers across, making it wider than Earth’s diameter.
Wind speeds inside the storm can exceed 400 km/h, driven by Jupiter’s powerful atmospheric circulation.
Although the storm has been slowly shrinking in recent decades, it remains the largest and longest-lasting storm in the solar system.

SPThe International Space Station transiting in front of Jupiter, the perfect Alignment!
This video shows a lil behind the scenes on capturing The ISS and Jupiter
I used the planetary app Stellarium and Google maps in order to calculate the path of the ISS and figure out exactly where I needed to be to capture the alignment. If I was even Just a few dozen feet off, the ISS would have flown either above or below the planet, no transit.
Used my 9.25 Celestron telescope attached with a high speed astronomy camera to capture high frame rate video. And from the frames I was able to stack them and get a clearer image of the moment of Transit!
